Chang Ta-chun, born in Taiwan in 1956, is a novelist and journalist. Chang started his career as a reporter for the Formosa Times and the Taipei Times. He was a member of the editorial board of Liberty Times, a member of the Taiwan Writers' Association, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Chinese Writers Association. He was arrested in 1986 during the ""Taipei Spring"" period and was sent to prison for three years.
