He created many comic book covers and illustrations for the magazine "Nuestra Galeria de Artistas". In 1958 he began creating paintings of beautiful women that gained him great popularity among comic book fans. He also illustrated the "Adventures of Tintin" comic books in collaboration with Belgian cartoonist Georges Rémi, which resulted in three additional volumes of original material after the original series was completed in 1959.
