Born in Sweden, Bodil Malmsten had a family tradition of playing the piano and singing since she was a little girl. When she was just 13 years old, she wrote her first song and played it on the radio for the very first time. She even got paid for it. After that, she started writing more and more songs and sent them to the Swedish music publishing agency MCA
Her first song was "Song for My Mother" and it's still on their repertoire of songs today.
