Aziz Nesin was born in Istanbul in 1940. He is one of the best-known Turkish writers. He has won many awards, including the International Man Booker Prize, the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade, and the Best Foreign Language Book Award from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
