Atif Iqbal Khan is a prominent Pakistani Canadian author, playwright and filmmaker. He was born in Karachi, Pakistan and grew up in Canada. His debut novel What Are You Waiting For was shortlisted for the prestigious Scotiabank Giller Prize in 2014. He has also written two books of short stories, including The Nights Have Eyes (2015) and The Golden Age (2017)
He has also published two collections of poetry, The Turtle's Shadow (2011) and Those Songs We Know (2013). His play Sleepwalker received the inaugural Pauline McGibbon Theatre Award for Best Play by an Emerging Artist in 2010.
