2 Quotes & Sayings By Anna Dostoevsky

Anna Dostoevsky was the fourth of eight children born to a poor merchant's family. She was married at age 25, but her husband died thirteen years later, leaving her the sole support of her six children. The following year she published her first book, Poor Folk (1846), in which she described her very limited circumstances in a realistic but comic style. Dostoevsky's novels are the record of the psychology of an individual who is caught in the tragic conflict between his aspirations and his limited existence.
