Ali Vali is a Persian-Canadian writer, who turned to writing at the age of 18 after she graduated from the University of Toronto. Ali’s first book, Underneath The Skin (2012), was a semi-finalist for the Arthur Ellis Award for best first novel. It was translated into English and published by McPherson & Company in 2014. Ali’s second book, The Nest (2016), was a finalist for the Arthur Ellis Award and has been translated into French and published by Hurtubise HMH in 2017
Her third novel, The Unseen (2017), was released this summer and will be published in English by McPherson & Company in 2018. Ali lives in Toronto with her husband and son.
