Albert Wattenberg was an American author, born in Brooklyn, New York on February 4, 1867. He was educated at the public schools of Brooklyn and at the City College of New York (1887-1889) and graduated from Columbia University in 1890. He wrote for the New York World and the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, and was afterward employed by the United States Treasury Department (1890-1903).
